Incentivise and encourage learners with Badges, Level up and certificates.
Badges
Badges can be awarded to celebrate the achievement of milestones throughout a course or simply as a motivation.
Badges can be awarded in the following instances:
- Manual issue by role: Allows a badge to be awarded manually by users who have a particular role within the site or course.
- Course completion: Allows a badge to be awarded once the course completion criteria is met. (Can only be set once course completion criteria is set and enabled)
- Awarded badges: Allows a badge to be awarded to users based on the other badges they have earned.
- Activity completion: Allows a badge to be awarded once a selected activity/s are completed. (Can only be set when activity completion criteria are set)
New Badge Setup
Location: Course administration / Badges / Add a new badge
To create a new badge for a course:
- Click to add a new badge
- Complete the information required
- Enable Badge
